The Green Energy of the Painting

The painting "Green Night" was inspired by a street view from the artist’s childhood. A poor, abandoned neighborhood on the outskirts of the city, with a single streetlamp and a water pump where locals came during the day to collect water. At night, the quarter sank into a velvet stillness tinted green, evoked by the blooming river nearby. The painting, like a mildly hallucinogenic absinthe, immerses the viewer into a world of illusion — not real, but a memory-distorted vision.

Painting That Fractures Time

The painting was started by the artist in 2014. Gostev worked on it slowly, constantly altering its elements. By then, the artist had already synthesized the experience of his great predecessors and was conducting his own research in painting, forming a unique and universally comprehensible style — perfect simplicity of form right at the edge of abstraction.

The master went further: in "Green Night", following a distant place from his childhood, he distorted not only space but also time itself, which had absorbed all colors except green.

Completion of the Painting

At the 21-second mark in the video from the artist’s studio, one can observe the state of the painting as of 2015. The artwork was not exhibited, as it only reached what the artist considered completion in 2021.

Artwork Authenticity – Signature and Certificate

The painting is signed by the artist, and the legacy of Anatoli Gostev is securely protected by copyright — "Green Night" is certified on the blockchain. Using timestamp technology, a unique digital signature of the painting’s root certificate is permanently recorded in the blockchain, ensuring the immutability of data concerning its origin, authorship, and current ownership.

The COA certificate contains data from the root certificate embedded in a proof file (.ots). The root certificate of the painting, registered in a Bitcoin blockchain block, can be transferred to a new owner only through a signed ownership transfer agreement, ensuring transparency and trust in future sales or transfers of the artwork. This makes the authenticity of "Green Night" verifiable and relevant throughout the painting’s entire existence.
