For 17 years, he lay on the windowsill of my studio, listening to classical music and talking with me about art. I was with him until the very last second. He is buried under the linden tree in front of my terrace, and for a year and a half, every day, I go out and talk to him. I still cannot come to terms with this loss. Yesterday, I took out a work I had not touched for two years. After finishing, I fell asleep, and Murchélino came to me all night. An angel descended from heaven and, introducing himself,

"How is it in heaven? Is it eternal summer there?
And in Semekhovo, is it cold? Haven't you caught a cold?
Won't you freeze, barefoot and dressed in a simple shirt?
Sit here with me, I'll warm you,
I'm in fur. I'm warm. You are not unnecessary to me.
And then, when, warming your wings, hugging me,
You will merge with me and fly to heaven with me..."
And under the canopy of the sky, two beings sat,
A bright angel and a cat – two creations of God,
Two souls whose warmth flowed into words
To a man who is cold too.

Impression of the Painting
The painting "Angel and Cat" is conceived by the artist symbolically. It is a dedication to the cat to whom an angel came, and between them, a conversation takes place. The subject of the painting originated in 2019 as a project for an oil painting. Soon after, the artist's cat died, and he did not touch the painting for a year and a half. The color palette in "Angel and Cat" once again demonstrates the mastery of conveying sensation.
Completion of the Painting
The video (3:44), from the artist's studio, shows a fragment of the painting as of 2021, after which some changes were made. The painting has not participated in exhibitions because the artist conceived it as a project. We display the painting for viewing to convey the artist's thought process and the immense emotions captured within a 30 by 30-centimeter square.
Authenticity of the Painting – Signature and Certificate
The work is done on heavy 300 g/m² paper and is unsigned by the artist. The painting is signed by the artist on both the front and back. The painting "Angel and Cat" is certified on the blockchain. Using timestamp technology, the unique digital signature of the painting’s root certificate is permanently recorded in the blockchain, guaranteeing the immutability of data about its origin, authorship, and current owner.
The COA certificate contains data from the root certificate in the ots proof file. The painting's root certificate, registered in a Bitcoin blockchain block, can only be transferred to a new owner by signing a property transfer agreement, ensuring transparency and trust during resale or transfer of the artwork. This makes the painting’s authenticity verifiable and valid throughout its existence.

The original painting "Angel and Cat" by Anatoli Gostev is privately owned. All copyrights of the artist and heirs apply to the painting for 70 years after his death.
