River Bend – interpretation of André Derain’s painting

I was just fantasizing, watching how it felt... So I wrote for myself, to learn this way. When I wake up and begin to open my eyes, I see a beautiful spot that immediately sets the tone of my day as pleasant. Derain would have liked it.

Experience of Fauvism.

According to the author, the painting "River Bend" is an attempt to comprehend the experience of Fauvism and to revisit the reflections of the great master André Derain. The artist Anatoli Gostev adjusted forms and contrasts, filling the entire space of the painting with the atmosphere of early autumn. It was the work with the color palette on "River Bend" that fascinated the artist most. Once finished, he hung it with satisfaction on the wall opposite his bed, where he slept.

Impression of the Painting.

The painting "River Bend", created in the Fauvist style inspired by André Derain, reflects the beginning of autumn, where bright yellow and red shades of trees contrast with still-green leaves. Each element interacts to create harmony within the autumn landscape. The expressive use of colors and lines forms a vivid mosaic that conveys the atmosphere of early autumn with the curve of a violet river and two human figures. The winding purple river adds visual depth and interest. A male figure leans against a tree, while a short distance away, a woman seems to float in the air or lean against another tree.

The figures add another layer of meaning to the painting, perhaps symbolizing unity with nature or a moment of inner reflection. This pictorial landscape invites the viewer into a serene space of early autumn, filling it with calmness and memory.

History of the Painting.

The creation of "River Bend" was completed by Gostev in 2014. Having carried out his bold experiment, he decided with satisfaction to make the painting part of his home interior, and therefore it was never exhibited or signed by the artist. The authenticity of authorship is confirmed by video footage from his studio.

From the perspective of color harmony, the author even surpassed Derain.

Authenticity of the Painting – Signature and Certificate.

The work was not signed by the artist. The painting "River Bend" is certified in the blockchain.
