The softness of the linoleum printing form is a drawback of the linocut technique: even with slight pressure from a manual printing press, the linoleum slightly deforms. Therefore, large print runs in linocut are impossible. This drawback determined the limited series of "Sixth House" linocuts. Each linocut is unique because linoleum, unlike solid wood, is soft and pliable, thus making each impression unique. Additionally, each impression was made on handmade paper, with each sheet having an individual structure, color, composition, and thickness. Typography ink.
