Art painting - "Lake of Meetings"

On the shore of Lake Staffel, in the foothills of the Alps, not far from Munich - Murnau. Here is the house where Kandinsky lived with the German artist Gabriele Münter for five years. Now this house is "Munterhaus", but it has a second name - "Russian House".

Here stayed: Alexey Yavlensky and Marianna Veryovkina, Franz Mark and August Macke, Paul Klee and Heinrich Campedonck - this is the cradle of the "Blue Rider", a new vision of painting was born here. After breaking up with Kandinsky, Munter returns to this house and lives in it until the end of his days. Many of Kandinsky's works remain with her. Later, risking her life, she saved them in the basement of this house from the Nazis, and then presented them to the Munich gallery in the Lenbach house, along with some of her paintings and paintings of other members of the Blue Rider.

Wandering around the Staffelsee neighborhood, I felt their presence in this place. And it was there that a rethinking took place: from copying nature to feeling the content, to abstraction and to the transfer of an extract of sensations. From these meetings with my Great brothers - artists, the painting "Lake of Meetings" was born - one of my paintings inspired by this great place.
