Sanremo – a painting of Italian notes

In Sanremo, even the flowers seem to sing and play music. The painting itself unfolds directly from the sunlit notes of Italy.

Impression of the painting.

Using a mixed technique of watercolor and pastel, Gostev seems to play the notes of the sunlit city of the Italian Riviera. It is as if he takes a fragment of the city, breathes it in, and exhales it onto paper to the music of Gigi D’Alessio and Carmelo Zappulla. This is Sanremo made of music and flowers.

He adored Italy and Italian music, cherished its architectural heritage—calling Italy the cradle of civilization and culture—and admired the way true emotions are preserved in Italian cinema. Just a few months before his passing, we rewatched Federico Fellini’s “Nights of Cabiria.” I saw how his eyes welled with tears during the final scene of the film.

Anatoli Gostev devoted his entire artistic life to creating paintings through the prism of reflections on everyday things, the beauty of nature, and the duality of life. There is a whole series of Gostev’s masterpieces dedicated to Italy: “Conversation in Rome,” “A Place in Avezzano,” “Sarandjo,” and others. The dynasty adores Italy, often repeating that “All roads lead to Rome.”

Inspiration of the Italian Riviera.

The South transforms an artist’s worldview. The sun is brighter, contrasts sharper, the energy purer. Astor Piazzolla’s Vuelvo al Sur draws the Gostev dynasty southward, like a magnet, towards its vivid colors. The cities of the South are a favorite theme—even those never visited, like Tangier in a painting by the younger Gostev.

From the painting “Sanremo”, one thing is certain—it carries the scent of the Riviera’s flowers and Italian music captured in painting.

Authenticity of the painting – signature and certificate.

The watercolor is signed by the artist on the front with his logo-signature, and on the reverse with the dynasty’s official seal. The painting “Sanremo” is certified on the blockchain. The unique digital signature of the root certificate of the artwork is permanently recorded in the blockchain, ensuring the immutability of data regarding provenance, authorship, and current ownership.

The COA certificate contains data from the root certificate within the ots proof file. The root certificate of the painting, registered in a Bitcoin blockchain block, can only be transferred to a new owner through a signed ownership transfer agreement, ensuring transparency and trust in any future sale or handover of the artwork.
